Germany, Wehrmacht. A General Assault Badge consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac Von Windheim asks Mrs(Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, around a central Heer style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 42. 82 mm (w) x 53. 30 mm (h), weighing 24. 0 grams, demonstrating near total loss of finish, in very fine condition.
