Powell was formed by engineer George Powell and former Z Boy Stacy Peralta in 1978 and dominated the entire next decade. They shaped skateboarding both through their graphics (skulls, daggers, dragons) and through their innovative and legendary team. The Bones Brigade notably consisted of Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero, Mike McGill, Lance Mountain, Tommy Guerrero, Rodney
